How an OEM project runs

  1. 01

    Requirements

Card or tag type, host device or controller, interface, output format, environment, branding and target quantity.

  2. 02

    Feasibility & quotation

We confirm which options apply to the chosen model and quote unit price, tooling or setup costs if any, and lead time.

  3. 03

    Engineering sample

A sample set up to your configuration, for testing with your cards and software.

  4. 04

    Approval & pilot

You approve the sample; the configuration is frozen as your part number.

  5. 05

    Production & delivery

Units produced to the approved sample, inspected and shipped on the agreed terms.

Wholesale and bulk RFID reader supply

Henrium is a reader-only supplier, not a factory. We do not produce the readers ourselves: we select the base models, specify the configuration and branding for each order, and handle the quotation, samples and shipment. Distributors, resellers, system integrators and software vendors can order any catalogue model in bulk, in neutral packaging or, where the model allows it, under their own brand.

  • One configuration on every unit. Output format, Wiegand bits, serial settings or read mode are set before shipment, so every reader in the carton behaves like the sample you approved.
  • A consistent desktop range. The L110-U 125kHz USB EM4100 reader, the H110-U 13.56MHz USB MIFARE and NFC reader and the A110-U for 134.2 kHz animal tags share one slim housing, so you can stock one look for three card families.
  • The right band for each market. Long-range readers such as the U650-M 12 dBi long-range UHF reader are supplied in a 902–928 MHz or 865–868 MHz build, with RF power pre-set to your country's limit on request. Plan stock per band, not per model alone.
  • Fewer part numbers to hold. The L410-W 125kHz Wiegand access reader switches between Wiegand 26 and 34 with one wire at installation, so one part number serves both controller types.
  • Private label for resale. Your logo on the label, housing or carton, and on the A520-M handheld FDX-B microchip scanner a Bluetooth device name and OLED display language for your market, on request.
  • Prices by quantity tier. There is no public wholesale price list. Unit prices per tier, minimum quantities per option and packaging are confirmed in your quotation.

How we work with distributors

  1. 01

    Range plan

Tell us your market, the cards and tags in common use there and the systems your customers run. We suggest a short list of base models and the output each one should ship with.

  2. 02

    Evaluation samples

One to three configured samples per shortlisted model, so you can test them with local cards and software before you list them.

  3. 03

    Written quotation

Unit price per quantity tier, minimum quantity per option, packaging, lead time, payment terms and the Incoterms rule, all stated in writing.

  4. 04

    Part numbers

Each approved configuration is recorded under its own part number, so you can re-order a model without specifying it again.

  5. 05

    Support for your customers

Setup guidance for each interface, plus public guides and a card number converter that you can point your own customers to.

For a distribution enquiry, choose Distribution partnership in the form below and add your country, target market and expected annual volume. Customer-facing help is on our support page, in the RFID reader guides and in the card number converter.

What to send with your request

  • The card or tag you use (type, or a photo of the card and its printing)
  • Your host: PC software, Android app, access controller, PLC or gate controller
  • The exact output your software expects (for example 0012345678 + Enter)
  • Branding needs: logo file, colours, label and packaging
  • Annual volume and the first order quantity
  • Your country or target market, and whether you resell, integrate or bundle the readers

Frequently asked questions

What can be customised without new tooling?

Firmware-level settings — output format, Wiegand bits, serial settings, read behaviour, buzzer/LED — and labelling or packaging usually need no new tooling. Housing shape changes are a separate ODM project. We confirm what applies to your model in the quotation.

Is there a minimum order for private label?

It depends on the model and the option (a label is different from a coloured housing). Your quotation lists the minimum quantity for each option you ask for.

Can you match the output of the readers we use today?

Often, if the base model supports that format. Send a sample card and the exact string your current reader produces (or a screenshot); we check whether the model can produce the same output and, if it can, configure a sample for you to test.

Do you supply readers for integration into our own device?

The catalogue is built around finished readers. For embedded projects, tell us the host interface, power budget and mechanical limits, and we will advise whether a compact plug-in reader or a custom build is the better route.

Do you supply RFID and NFC readers wholesale and in bulk?

Yes. Any model in the catalogue can be quoted in bulk quantities, in neutral packaging or, where the model allows it, under your own brand, with the output format or Wiegand setting your customers need set before shipment. Unit prices per quantity tier, minimum quantities and packaging are confirmed in your quotation.

How is wholesale pricing set?

By model, option and quantity. We do not publish a price list, because the price depends on the configuration, the packaging and the destination. Your quotation lists the unit price for each quantity tier, the Incoterms rule the price applies to and the payment terms.

What lead time should we plan for a bulk order?

It depends on the model, the configuration, any private-label work and the quantity. Lead times for samples and for production are confirmed in your quotation, together with the event each lead time is counted from.

Can distributors evaluate readers before stocking them?

Yes. Order one to three samples per model, configured like the units you plan to stock, and test them with the cards and software common in your market. Sample price and shipping are confirmed in your quotation; see how the reader sample programme works.
