13.56MHz H110-U
13.56MHz USB NFC / MIFARE Card Reader, Slim Pad, No Driver
- USB
- Desktop
Read range: Up to 80 mm
The H120-U is a read-only 13.56MHz USB reader in a flat matte desktop pad, for reception, membership and POS counters. It reads MIFARE Classic 1K/4K and NTAG203 UIDs at up to 80 mm, types them as 10-digit decimal numbers without a driver, and shares its housing with the 125kHz L120-U and the UHF U120-U.
Many distributors and integrators serve sites that do not share a card technology: one customer issues 125kHz EM4100 cards, another MIFARE Classic, a third tags items with UHF labels. The flat pad of the H120-U is also used by the L120-U (125kHz EM4100 / TK4100) and the U120-U (EPC Gen2 UHF reader/writer). All three type the number at the cursor by default, so counter layouts, staff instructions and your own product photos stay the same whichever card a site uses.
For a reseller this means one product family to list and support across three frequencies. For a software vendor it means a single "supported desk reader" page, with the band chosen per customer.
Their published specifications match: 13.56 MHz, ISO 14443A UID read, up to 80 mm, 10-digit decimal output and 104 × 68 × 10 mm. The difference is the housing. The H120-U has a flat matte top with a raised panel and a small LED window near one corner. The H110-U is the slim pad whose family includes an RS232 model and a 134.2kHz animal-tag reader.
Pick the H120-U when the counter already uses, or will use, the 125kHz or UHF flat pad. Pick the H110-U when you may later need the same pad with RS232 output.
Place the pad where customers can lay the card flat on it, away from metal trays and cash drawers, which reduce read range. Keep the cursor in the member field while the card is presented: if staff click elsewhere first, the number is typed there instead. Where the software should receive card numbers regardless of screen focus, choose a serial reader such as the H150-R.

Plug the mini-USB end into the reader and the USB-A end into the PC or POS terminal; the LED shows red (standby) and no driver is needed.
Put the cursor in the member or card-number field of your software.
Present the card over the pad. The LED turns green, the buzzer sounds and the 10-digit UID appears in the field.
If you need a prefix, hex output or reversed byte order, specify it in your RFQ so the format is set before shipment.
Their published specifications are the same: 13.56 MHz, ISO 14443A UID read, up to 80 mm, 10-digit decimal output and 104 × 68 × 10 mm. The H120-U differs in its flat matte housing, which is shared with the L120-U and U120-U.
Yes, for membership and loyalty cards. It types the card UID into the POS field like a keyboard. It is not a payment terminal and does not read bank cards.
Usually the formats differ: decimal vs hex, or the byte order is reversed. Compare both numbers with the card number converter, then ask for the matching output format before shipment.
Ultralight is an ISO 14443A card, but it is not named on this model's supported list, which names MIFARE Classic 1K/4K and NTAG203. Send a sample card and we check it before you order.
